Portsmouth NH | September Sales Report

As Portsmouth New Hampshire residents my partner Ann Cummings and I are in the local market daily and keep our fingers on the real estate pulse. Here are the locations of all the homes that closed in September within a 2 and one half mile radius of downtown Portsmouth. There were a total of 30 ranging in price from $1,400,000 for the famed “Oracle House” across from Prescott Park to a cozy condo on Prospect Street for $155,000.

30 sales in September 2011 is a huge jump from the 9 sales Portsmouth had in the same time period in 2010. Pending sales are up too, from 11 in September 2010 to 17 for this just past month. Pending sales are a great indicator of future sales because pending status is the last step before a closing takes place; these properties are under agreement between a seller and buyer but not yet closed.
